Distributors require the page count of all printed books to be an even number. On top of this requirement, distributors always add a barcode to the final page of the book interior, and that page must be free from any text or colour. For these reasons, there is typically always one or two blank pages added to a book interior file.
Furthermore, some of the presses used by our print and distribution partners may require the book's page count to be a multiple of 4 or 6, in which case blank page(s) may be added to meet this requirement. The total page count must always be an even number.
