No, and this is why it is so important that the manuscript be 110% complete before it is submitted for the interior design process. This is because we are unable to provide you with the working (editable) files after the design process has begun (applies to both interior and cover), since the files are created using design software, not Microsoft Word.
Instead, you will have two rounds when you will be able to submit revision requests through Octavo, using the Adobe Reader Comment Tools to indicate the revisions you want made after carefully reviewing the layout and contents of your book. This ensures that the designer can easily understand your requested revisions, which will help to reduce human error as well as the time it will take to complete the next draft.
Note that each revision round includes enough design time to implement approximately 150 minor text based revisions. Anything above 150 revisions or that are particularly complex in nature will require additional design time, because the designer will have to work longer on the book to accommodate the extra revisions. We calculate the extra design cost needed for revisions based on 75 text-based revisions per hour (or by assessment for design-based changes).
If after receiving your first draft, you wish to make substantial changes to the book, you do have the option to purchase an interior relayout. After purchasing a relayout you may submit a completely fresh manuscript, rather than submitting PDF revisions. In this case the designer will re-start the design from scratch.
Please reach out to support@tellwell.ca if you need to purchase a relayout.
